Here are our top 10 ‘must see’ places in Turkey;

6.    Istanbul - Istanbul is one of the most romantic, fun and breath taking cities
Contrary to popular belief Istanbul it is not the capitol city of Turkey. Istanbul is the third most visited city in Europe behind London and Paris. Divided by the Bosphorus into a European and an Asian side, Istanbul is a fascinating modern city with a rich cultural heritage.

7.    Patara Beach
Patara beach is one of the largest and most picturesque beaches in Turkey which is set close to the ancient Lycian city of Patara on the coast of the Turkish Riviera.
Voted as one of the best beaches in the world, this natural beach, which has also long held Blue Flag status; is a made up of fine sand and enormous sand dunes, under which lays the infamous historic city.
This famous tourist hotspot is also famously known as a breeding ground for giant sea turtles that lay their eggs there in the night in the summer months. Read more about Patara Beach

8.    Gallipoli Cemeteries and Memorials
Gallipoli is a moving experience for all visitors to Turkey, (particularly for those from Australia and New Zealand)
Visit Anzac Cove, site of the WWI battle between the Turkish and the Allies - Commemorate the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps.
Learn the history of the ANZACs and visit 'ANZAC Cove', the site of the famous battle between Allied and Turkish troops, where heavy casualties were suffered on both sides.
See the Turkish and Allied Trenches at Johnston's Jolly and visit 'The Nek', a narrow stretch of ridge in the battlefield on the Gallipoli peninsula and the New Zealand Memorial at Chunuk Bair, (site of one of New Zealand's epic stands on the Gallipoli peninsula in August 1915)

9.    Cruising the Southwest Coast
There's no more romantic way to explore Turkey's "enchanting" southwest coast and discover its "extraordinary classical heritage" than a cruise on a traditional Turkish sailing boat
Visit Cleopatras bay, Bedri Rahmi bay, Tersene island, Gocek and Red island. Swim and snorkel in the crystal waters, soak up the sun and relax.

10.    Nemrut Dağ
Nemrut Dağı Milli Parkı (Mt Nemrut National Park) is probably the star attraction of eastern Turkey, and rightly so. The enigmatic statues sitting atop the summit have become a symbol of Turkey. The stunning scenery and historical sights and the undeniable sense of mystique and folly that emanates from the site make a visit here essential.

The spellbinding peak of Nemrut Dağı (nehm-root dah-uh) rises to a height of 2150m in the Anti-Taurus Range between the provincial capital of Malatya to the north and Kahta in Adıyaman province to the south.
